A supercharger is an air compressor used for forced induction of an internal combustion engine. The greater mass flow-rate provides more oxygen to support combustion than would be available in a naturally aspirated engine, which allows more fuel to be burned and more work to be done per cycle, increasing the power output of the engine. Power for the unit can come mechanically by a belt, gear, shaft, or chain connected to the engine's crankshaft. When power comes from an exhaust gas turbine a supercharger is known as a turbosupercharger– typically referred to simply as a turbocharger or just turbo. Common usage restricts the term supercharger to mechanically driven units.

Cummins 2 cylinder 8valve 4 valve per cylinder more valves means more air in and more air means more power.

Fuel injector which sprays the fuel in the atomized form above injector is used in cummins diesel engines 

Push rods  these are used to push the rocker arm up and down by the action of cam shaft

oil filter the function is to clean the dirt particles present in the oil which is used for lubrication

Thermostat valve

Turbo charger A turbocharger,is a centrifugal compressor powered by a high speed turbine that is driven by an engine's exhaust gases. Its benefit lies with the compressor increasing the mass of air entering the engine (forced induction), thereby resulting in greater performance (for either, or both, power and efficiency). Rocker arm it is used to move the valve (inlet valve and exhaust valve) up and down.

oil cooler these are the oil cooler used to cool the oil circulated for lubrication purpose.

Crank case The above diagram is a crank case of 3 cylinder engine,the function of crank case is to hold the crank shaft and the cam shaft.the above diagram is a swaraj tractor crankcase

Cam shaft The purpose of cam shaft is to control the inlet and outlet valve of the cylinder engine,in order to control the inlet air and exhaust gases.the abobe diagram consists of 3 cylinder engine.

Radiator of a  diesel generator Radiator is generally used to cool the engine , in order to run the engine in proper manner because if the engine cylinder and piston becomes very hot the cylinder will seizure.
